Carpe Diem Special #117, Tomas Tranströmer’s 3rd “a mother of stone”.
The boy drinks his milk
and sleeps cozy in his cell,
a mother of stone
© Tomas Tranströmer
Jailed into myself
Unbreakable fence captures
Mother of sadness.
War is not over
Bring some well-meaning actions
Giving love a chance.
Longing and wishing
Summer meadow is flowering
Waiting for lovers.
Very powerful emotions.
Thanks Hamish
Your other haiku about Yazidi girls was so good. So important.
Thanks again
Yes I like that one myself. I put it in my political blog.
I could not find a place to comment on your previous haiku so I shared it on Google+; Very intense emotions of longing here!
Thanks Cheryl!
Ps. I will check what happened to the comment field.
