I and my sister had tickets to the National Dance Theatre in the Castle Area on the Buda side yesterday so we spent a day up on the hills.
Terrific wheather! This is the Church of Maria Magdalena - well what remains of it.
Shot in backlight.

SKYWATCH FRIDAY

Now I am in Budapest again. It is a bit grey weather but no rain so far. Warm and nice – like the people here :)

I have to walk down to The Danube my first day so here is The Danube, the Buda Castle and the Matthias Church far away. I am on the Pest side.

I am passing S:t Istvan Cathedral and here you can see the Parliament in the end of the street.

Now I am depending in Interet cafes and I am sitting in “California Coffee” beside the Cathedral and they are making a film outside just now.

SKYWATCH FRIDAY 

Yesterday I was in Malmö a bit south of Lund but very close. Here is “Turning Torso” and the Court of Appeal to the right.

This is a piece the harbour in Malmö. Lots of work is going on.

Lund’s University yesterday when the sun was shining and all the students from all over the world started up. Now is an amazing time to live in Lund. I love this worldy touch :)

SKYWATCH FRIDAY.

From today’s skywatch – also a nice sunny day – you can see the Cathedral far away …

There are some small narrow streets with charming houses in Lund.

My walk-about today went to a park with a big monument. It is a reminder of the Battle in Lund between Sweden and Denmark 1676 – with great losses on both sides. Lund where I live now has a very interesting history – Lund’s history. It’s an old university town and also a Cathedral and bishop’s town.

The weather today was perfect – warm and just a little windy. Well not very good for macro shooting but I did some anyway. This time looking up ;)

SKYWATCH FRIDAY 

I went to the Boranical Gardens in Lund today and I must admit I looked down all the time and not up at the sky. This is one of two shots looking up. I’m sorry :)
But however the sky is too grey isn’t it? I promise it was more colourful looking down ;)

I had a most exciting walk in this garden today. There was a lot of “love” going on and I was very busy with my camera. 
This couple was not at all interested in the sky today.

SKYWATCH FRIDAY 

We went to the Buda side and the Castle area today too. We had tickets for a performence in The Carmelite Courtyard in the evening. And we desided to spend the whole day up there on the Buda Hills.
Today I joined my husband when going by this little cable railway up the hill. I prefere walking but he likes things like this.
Here you can see the chainbridge and the grand cathedral.

Looking north you can see the beautiful parliament and several bridges crossing the Danube.
The Margit Island is in the middle of the Danube.

This is a shot towards the sun – I liked the sky and the light. I am standing close to the castle but in the back side. Today we walked all way around the hills and examined all corners of the castle.

Here is the castle … and the dansehouse – Tancszinhaz – just out of the picture to the left.
We met some young ladies from Quatar – the football team – they were here on a camp. We wished them good luck.
Here they are in the middle dressed in red.

It was a perfect day for walking around and the light a kind of special. I am sorry I couldn’t catch it better than this.
We had a wonderful evening too I can tell. Vukán played Chopin and talanted dancers performed.

I am sorry I do not know what house this is. We passed it when crossing The Danube on a bridge from north Buda to Pest. I photographed from the car because I liked the view. We couldn’t stop since it was a Motorway.

This is a view from the Matra Highlands in Hungary. It is about 850 meters where we stand. The highest mountain in Hungary is 1015 meters. As there are trees all over the highlands there are only a few spots with a view like this.

This is Eger in Hungary and in a wonderful winedistrict. It is a very nice little town and it has it’s own Thermal Water.

Today I got my first Dragonfly and I was very happy. This is the Dragonfly’s “HOME” and habitat.

THURSDAY CHALLENGE.

I am sitting on the bus. We have been visiting our doughter and grandchildren. For the first time we went by bus. Now we are back in Lund and I saw a balloon today too. We have sunny and warm weather just now.

Tomorrow is Midsummer Eve.

SKYWATCH FRIDAY.

This is a very special week here in Sweden. Our CrownPrincess is going to marry her Daniel and they are deeply in love with each other. I am so happy for them and I wish them all happiness in the world. I thought of them when I prepared my photos from today and found this one.
You can see how it shines around them. This is a tribute to them from me.

I am outside the University here in Lund and I look up at the wonderful blue sky. This is the kind of sky we want to have every day summertimes.

Today I found this cute statue with the two children. I immediately thought it would be for the SkyWatch Friday  entrance.

This is my best shot of King Istvan and also St Istvan – so far. I think the sky suits him so well. The statue is on the Buda hills close to The Mattias Church.
