We went to one of the Botanical gardens in Budapest today. I didn’t know it was part of the World Heritage until now. The so called "Füvészkert" in Budapest is the oldest botanical garden of Hungary. Established in 1770-71. We hade a marvellous time among all these species. And I got some terrific shots of a Dragonfly … and orchids … and flowers … and … almost 200 photos.
Would you like to see one of the Dragonfly – shots? Look – he is smiling :) … and there are some shadows too.
Look for more shadow shots at SHADOW SHOT SUNDAY.

I wonder what mom brought for lunch today? Are there 3 or 4 chicks? The chicks were very busy eating and …
… mom was just on the next pole clapping her beak when I took my shots..

We went to the Buda side and the Castle area today too. We had tickets for a performence in The Carmelite Courtyard in the evening. And we desided to spend the whole day up there on the Buda Hills.
Today I joined my husband when going by this little cable railway up the hill. I prefere walking but he likes things like this.
Here you can see the chainbridge and the grand cathedral.
Looking north you can see the beautiful parliament and several bridges crossing the Danube.
The Margit Island is in the middle of the Danube.
This is a shot towards the sun – I liked the sky and the light. I am standing close to the castle but in the back side. Today we walked all way around the hills and examined all corners of the castle.
Here is the castle … and the dansehouse – Tancszinhaz – just out of the picture to the left.
We met some young ladies from Quatar – the football team – they were here on a camp. We wished them good luck.
Here they are in the middle dressed in red.
It was a perfect day for walking around and the light a kind of special. I am sorry I couldn’t catch it better than this.
We had a wonderful evening too I can tell. Vukán played Chopin and talanted dancers performed.

My Canon G9 knows a lot of things. I am really amazed about what the G9 can do. Here I have replaced one colour with another. Just for testing not for taking wow-photos.
Here I first used green and then replaced the green with gold, then with red, then with dark grey and finally with lilac.
This is really fun. Now I am thinking of what colour shall I replace with what colour on my walk-about today? Which colours will show Budapest today?

We bought tickets for the Tango evening at Alexandras bookcafé.
Ett glas Kadarka ingick i priset.
Live tango musicians and two tango couples.
The first couple danced classic tango in a high technical level.
The other couple danced a more modern tango telling a story.
The Tango was to fast and the light to dark for me and my Canon G9 this enjoyable evening.

Tonight we will listen to Chopin music live and also a dance evening. This time in The Carmelite Courtyard.

Women in different “worlds” but also the same. Kvinnor i olika “världar” men ändå i samma.
Do not tell me that any profet or any God has told women to hide – No! It is just some men – ordinary men who tell women what to do. And these men hide behind religious kind of stuff they made up themself.
But now my question is – How in the earth can some women mean it is their own will to hide!? So they also want their doughters to hide – for how long?
Religion is often oppression of people – why do people allow themself to be oppressed?
Religion should be kind and generous to people!

Man luras lätt ….

My little Dragonfly from Pannonhalma He looks so happy and he was very friendly – he stayed on the flower so I could take several photos.
Trollsländor, Dragonfly,
The black spot looks like an eye but it is not. They have compound eyes – the red on top of the head here.
